6% of patients has a healthcare-associated infection

ECDC estimates that on any given day, about 80 000 patients, i.e. one in 18 patients, in European hospitals have at least one healthcare-associated infection. Overall, this amounts to an estimated total of 3.2 million patients each year.

To prevent infection via textiles used in healthcare, Cleaning Consultancy Delft advises Healthcare institutions and the Textile cleaning industry how to best introduce RABC guidelines. By adding RABC to the quality management the contamination of healthcare-associated infections by textiles can be reduced considerably.
